Jun 9, 2018 · I signed up for Tumblr once upon a time, but quickly learned it wasn't for me. It's so hard to find good art sites. Currently, I am not active on any art sites, but I have looked around, and dA really does seem the best - though goodness knows it's got its drawbacks.
Tumblr was recommended to me by a coworker as your art can blow up through sharing, and I've been using it mostly as an art blog. I have Twitter and Facebook accounts, but I mostly use them as a way to reach out to me. I'll occasionally post images in bulk to Facebook. I have twitter and instagram.
Aug 10, 2023 · What I like most about Tumblr is the customizing freedom which it offers. So you can customize your blog to look however you want it to look. Tumblr also has a messaging service, so it’s a faster way to reach out to fellow artists and connect. While Tumblr has all this good stuff going, it is not the best idea for a professional portfolio site.
Make some mutuals (someone you follow who also follows you), interact with people and work your way up from there. As more people start to reblog your art the easier it gets, but it definitely takes work and effort to get an art tumblr off the ground. Good luck. 6. Taginechomper.
